Tamara Rhoads

My journey started 63 years ago in Laguna Beach, California. Soon after, my family moved to New Mexico where I met and married my best friend, Larry. We have been married 45 years and God has blessed us with four children and 11 precious grandchildren. Larry and I now call Oklahoma our home. This is where God led us to establish a tearoom in honor of my sister, April, who passed away years earlier in an automobile accident.

 

The last time I saw my sweet April on earth was at a Mother's Day Tea Party at a church event. This ignited my passion to encourage others through hospitality. Inspirations Tearoom has now been open for over 18 years and is a place to encourage faith, family, and friends. Shortly after opening Inspirations, Larry and I were blessed with an opportunity to build on and add a bed and breakfast. It had always been a dream of ours to open an inn! The Two Hearts Inn was founded on the mission to encourage marriages.

 

Along with my passion for all things tea, decorating, and hospitality is, cooking! I love to cook and share a meal with family and friends! With this passion came another retail business called Teaoli which specializes in fine teas, extra virgin olive oils, and balsamic vinegars. Larry, two of our daughters and I have dedicated our lives to our family businesses and have seen how God is using these businesses to impact the community.

Along with my experience in culinary, retail merchandising, event planning, interior design, etiquette and tea service certification, I'm excited to share my newest endeavor as a certified Christian Image Consultant. I was trained by Shari Braendel of Fashion Meets Faith on how to use color analysis and style to equip women to have confidence through image and style.
